Noise Surveys are carried out for a wide range of industries including background surveys, prediction modelling, wind farm & construction noise monitoring, management and control, intrusive investigations for tonal noise sources, and complete EIA surveys as part of planning applications.

Occupational Noise Surveys

Companies are required by law to carry out an occupational noise survey of site activities and operations to ensure compliance with the following legislation:

Chapter 1 of Part 5 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007) as amended from 12 November 2007 by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amended) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 732 of 2007) sets down the minimum requirements for the protection of workers from the health risks associated with noise in the workplace.

AXIS environmental services can ensure clients comply in full with the requirements of legislation by initial risk assessment of the site, complete details noise survey measurements, dosimetry and noise exposure assessments, hearing protection assessments and vibration surveys.

Vibration Monitoring

Axis Environmental Services have strong connections in the building and construction sector where vibration of equipment can cause a significant health and safety risk to the employee. Vibration can be either hand- arm (HAV) or whole- body vibration (WBV), prolonged exposure to HAV can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome, white finger and hard –arm vibration syndrome whilst WBV may result in lower back pain. To ensure the protection of both the employee and employer, Axis environmental services provide vibration monitoring in line with the following legislation and applicable Irish standards;
